Department of Science & Humanities
Mr.K.BALASUBRAMANIAN is the HOD of Science and Humanities in Kongunadu college of Engineering and Technology. He has ten years of association with the academia. He holds a Master Degree and also has completed his M.Phil. He has won glory for improving on the week students in mathematics.
Vision: To develop very high technical skills bundled with Interpersonal skills to make them the best qualified students for future needs.
Mission: To produce committed engineers with Indian values and ethics who can participate in technical advancement and social upliftment of our country.
DEPARTMENTS
ENGLISH
The Department of English is focusing to develop the students’ language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English. It also trains the students on the accent of Received Pronunciation. The department conducted frequent remedial classes for the late bloomers. It provides an ample of opportunities to enhance their language in the globalised scenario. It also improves their communication skills and makes them employable and competent. Moreover it focuses the students’ personality development and soft skills to make them as a refined human being. It is gifted with a team of five experienced faculty members and a well equipped communication skills laboratory. The faculty members counsel the students to overcome their adulthood and psychological problems.
It trained the students to clear various international language proficiency tests such as TOEFL, IELTS and GRE. It consistently encourages and trains the students to participate in paper presentation and cultural programmes at various levels.
MATHEMATICS
The Department of Mathematics inculcates the knowledge of Mathematics and its Applications in Engineering and Technology. The department is gifted with a dedicated team of experienced faculty members.
The department is proud in producing consistently very good results in the University examinations. It trained the students to get high scores in GRE, G MAT, CAT, GATE, and IEEE to pursue their higher studies and enable them employable in the present Globalized scenario. It also conducted regular remedial classes for the weak students and late bloomers. The department consistently motivated and encouraged the students to participate in the seminars, symposium etc., conducted by Anna University and other Engineering Colleges. Moreover the faculty members involved in disciplinary activities to build a very good relationship among the students.
PHYSICS
The Department of Physics inferred the knowledge of first year BE/ B.Tech students. The department is consisted with a dedicated team of experienced faculty members and a well equipped laboratory. The department is proud of producing consistently very good results in the University examinations. The department has well equipped laboratories and good infrastructure for a better undertaking of the theory as well as laboratory to teach the students.
Physics department has magnificent laboratory infra structural facilities. Students are trained in the following laboratories to augment their practical skills.

CHEMISTRY
The Department of Chemistry has distinguished, dedicated and qualified faculties in different areas of General, Applied and Analytical Chemistry. Faculty members are showing keen interest to motivate the students to participate in various aspects like workshop, seminar, conference and symposium and they are presenting papers in conferences / Seminars. Chemistry Department has safety measures and is situated in eco-friendly nature. Department of Chemistry has well equipped and advanced laboratory equipment for Applied and Analytical Chemistry Research Activities. The department is proud of producing consistently very good results in the Anna University examinations.
Chemistry department has tremendous, well established & Exclusive laboratory facilities; on focusing with this facility for the I-year B.E/B.TECH students and the budding engineers are well skilled in the practical knowledge.
